Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a stable electrospark machining and prevent from a continuous arc discharge by detecting an average voltage across electrodes and a continous arc electric discharge voltage allowing these differential voltages to control a machining electrode clearance and a pulse of machining supply power. CONSTITUTION:A electric spark machine detects an average voltage of electric discharge voltage pulse applied across electrodes located at a tool electrode 2 and a workpiece 3 from an electric source 1 with a voltage detector 4 detecting across the electrodes, allowing for comparing the output thereof with the voltage produced from the standard voltage set unit 6 by entering into a differential amplifier 5, and by the differential voltage thereof the feed of machining electrode 2 permitting to control a servo motor 7 to operate the feed of machining electrode 2. In this case, a continuous arc electric discharge pulse detector 11 is connected in parallel with said detector 4, from these output produced the said servo motor 7 is operating on the differential voltage produced by the differential amplifier 12 transmitted from the output thereof for controlling the machining current by means of a comparator amplifier 9. Besides, an abnormal electric discharge detector 31 is provided allowing the output thereof to turn on a switch 32.
