Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the rise of the arc voltage by feeding back the voltage impressed on an arc electrode to a control circuit controlling a rectifying circuit.
CONSTITUTION: When a signal 9a is reduced in energy, a transistor 6 turns off, the voltage between wires 4a and 4b, i.e. the voltage impressed on the arc electrode 7 reaches the discharge voltage, and the arc electrode 7 starts the arc discharge. The voltage impressed on the arc electrode 7 is detected by a detecting circuit 12 and is fed, as a signal 12a, to an adder 13 with positive polarity. Accordingly, a positive feedback loop is formed by the signal 12a and the rectifying circuit 1 delivers an output corresponding to the peak thereof an thereby improves the waveform of the voltage impressed on the arc electrode 7 at the point of time of the rise thereof.
