Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the exhaustion of wire at a wire electrode by a method wherein the voltage controlling an interelectrode aperture is separated from that at the time of discharge and the polarity of the voltage impressed on the interelectrode is made to be the reverse polarity, thus the electrolytic action being made to act only on the side of an electrode. CONSTITUTION:To a wire electrode 2 and an article 1 to be machined is connected a capacitor discharge circuit composed of a DC power source Eo, a resister Ro and a capacitor Co, whereby the length of an inter-electrode aperture is detected. The voltage Vg of the capacitor Co has a waveform of strong oscillation, and a discharge frequency is high and an average voltage is low when the interelectrode aperture is narrow. Meanwhile, a difference amplification circuit 21 is composed of an operation amplifier 22 and resisters R1-R4, detects the voltage Vg of the capacitor Co, and impresses the detected value on comparators 23 and 24, while detecting the difference between the servo and the standard voltage Vr, making this a digital value by means of an A/D converter 25 and performing a feeding control for a table by an N/C control device 14.
