Abstract

PURPOSE: To detect the presence of defective parts of freezing tubes burried under the ground, by inversely circulating the coolant through mounting the stop valve at the lower end of the inner tube and measuring the flow and pressure.
CONSTITUTION: The inner tube 2 is inserted in the external tube 1 having bottom, and the cap 3 is fixed at the upper end of the external tube 1 with welding. The coolant flow section 4 is present at the cap 3 and the freezing tube is constituted with those. The stop valve 5 is mounted at the lower end of the inner tube 2 and the spherical valve 6 is provided. The flow meter 7 and the pressure gauge 8 are provided. When the inner tube 2 is detected for damaged part or improper welding part, the coolant is fed in the external tube 1. If no defective part is present, the spherical valve 6 is lifted up with the supply pressure of the coolant to block the lower end of the inner tube 2. The coolant does not flow in the inner tube 2, the flow meter shows a small value and the pressure gauge indicates a large value. Further, if defective parts are present, the coolant 2 invades in the inner tube 2 to cause inverse circulation, and no change in the flow meter and the pressure is not risen.
