Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable a level gauge to be calibrated while being held mounted to the liquid apparatus by providing an equalizing valve to the cover gas connecting pipe between a measuring tank and a molten liquid case and a device of regulating the cover gas pressure within the meauring tank.
CONSTITUTION: In the case of calibrating a level gauge 8, an equalizing valve 7 is closed and a regulating valve 10 is opened and a regulating device 11 is driven to perform the calibration. More specifically, if it is desired to raise the molten liguid level in a measuring tank 5, the pressure of the cover gas 6' of the measuring tank 5 is reduced by a vacuum pump, then the liquid level rises and conversly when the pressure of the cover gas part 6' of the measuring tank 5 is increased by the pressure of a high pressure gas cylinder, the liquid levellowers. The supply or expulsion of the molten liquid along with the change in the liquid level of the measuring tank is preformed by making use of the molten liquid in the apparatus 4. In this way, the level gauge may be calibrated while being heldmounted to the apparatus.
