Abstract
PURPOSE:To make possible the measurement of high accuracy for a long period of time by absorving the change in the volume of electrolyte by the movement of a piston in a passage. CONSTITUTION:Pure water 16 is filled in a pressure vessel and the material to be examined is immersed therein, thence the vessel is hermetically sealed. When this pressure vessel is raised of temp., electrolyte 2 is heated as well. Hence, the volume of the electrolyte 2 expands, but the increased component of the volume forces down the piston 7 in a passage 6 and the piston stops where the pressure of the pure water 16 and the pressure of the electrolyte 2 balance. Next, when the temp. of the pure water 16 is lowered, the piston 7 ascends in the passage, and moves to where the pressures of the electrolyte 2 and the pure water 16 balance. Namely, the volume change by the temp. change of the electrolyte 2 is absorbed by the movement of the piston 7. Hence, a liquid path part 4 is in the state that it is always impregnated with the electrolyte 2, thus the characteristics which are good over a long period of time is maintained.
