Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable one to detect the leakage safely and simply without an electric system around the tank by connecting a test groove, which was formed when the tank was constructed, to a detector that is provided outside of the tank with a conduit for detection.
CONSTITUTION: One end of the conduit 10 for detection is connected to the test groove 4 that was formed when the tank was constructed, the conduit 10 is led to the outside of the tank through an internal foundation 5, external bottom plate 6 and anchor box 9, and the detector 11 such as a pressure gauge and a stop valve 12 are provided to the conduit. In this way, when the fluid leaks out from the tank due to a fault of the welded part 3 between a side plate 1 and a bottom plate 2 of the tank, especially the welded part, which is in contact with the fluid stored in the tank, during the use of tank or at inspection of the released tank, the leakage can be detected by the detector 11 through the conduit 10 simply and early.
