Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify a construction of an X-ray generating device by directly hold mounting an X-ray shielding material at a cathode base side of the X-ray tube.
CONSTITUTION: A flange 31 projected to a direction perpendicular to a tube axis is provided to an X-ray tube 30 constituted with a ceramic insulator. This is adhered and mounted to a casing body 32 internal surface from a casing body 32 internal portion side. Also a target portion 30a of the X-ray tube 30 is projected outside of the casing body 32 and a cathode base 30b is contained within the casing body. At the cathode base 30b anequalizer 34 constituted with an X-ray shielding material 35 consisting of a heavy metal such as lead grab held by half-cut metallic bodies 33a, 33b is installed. By doing in this manner, a special supporting material is not required as an X-ray shielding material is able to be held mounted directly to the X-ray tube. Accordingly small sizing and light weighting can be achieved.
