Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the electrophotographic photoreceptor of superior gradation reproducibility by laminating and forming a charge generating layer and a charge migrating layer on the electrode layer composed of a palladium (chromium oxide, indium oxide) layer and aluminum layer, either one of which is made in dot form fine structure.
CONSTITUTION: An aluminum layer is formed on a substrate such as polyester film, palladium (or chromium oxide, indium oxide) is vacuum evaporated through a screen made of metal (preferably about 100 to 500 mesh) thereon to form a palladium film having dot form fine structure, whereby the electrode layer is formed. On this are next laminated a charge generating layer composed of the pigments shown by formula I and a charge migrating layer composed of the compound shown by formula II subsequently to form the photoreceptor. Here, the abovementioned electrode layer may be formed by providing the aluminum layer of dot form fine structure on the palladium layer provided on the substrate.
