Abstract
The present invention provides a multi-layered energy sensitive construction which is capable, upon imagewise exposure, of providing both positive and negative reproductions of an image by means of a delamination process and without wet development. The construction comprises: I. A transparent top layer 18; an energy sensitive layer 16 which generates gas on exposure; a resinous layer 14 which may contain a colorant and may possess adhesive properties, a first adhesive layer 12, and II. A second adhesive layer 12' coated on a base sheet 10. Said elements I and II are then laminated such that the two adhesive layers form an interface. On imagewise exposure, gas is generated at the exposed areas which allows a positive image to be formed on layer 18 and a negative image on layer 10 (of Fig. 3). <IMAGE>
