Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a support for a photographic paper almost free from curling, by coating a large amount of water-soluble resin on the reverse side of paper in comparison with the side of an emulsion layer to form a base, and providing polyolefin layers on both the sides of said base. CONSTITUTION:A water-soluble resin, such as gelatin or polyvinyl alcohol is coated on the side of an emulsion layer, in an amount of about 0-10g/m<2>, on the emulsion layer, and an amount of about 2-12g/m<2> more than said amount is coated on the reverse side of the paper. A polyolefin polymer is coated on both the sides of the paper by the extrusion lamination method to form a 10-40mu thick resin layer, thus the titled support is obtained.
