Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance the sensitivity of a receptor by repeatedly coating an eutectic complex composition based on pyrylium dye, an electrically insulating polymer and a specified sensitizer to form the upper 2nd layer of two photoconductive layers different from each other in sensitivity to chromatic light.
CONSTITUTION: The 2nd photoconductive layer 14 is formed on the 1st photoconductive layer 12 on electrically conductive substrate 11 by repeatedly coating an eutectic complex composition based on a compound represented by formula I, II or III [where each of R1 and R3 is N(C2H5)2 or the like, R2 is phenyl, p-chlorophenyl or the like, R4 is N(C2H5)2 or the like, R5 is N(C2H5)2 or the like, R6 is pyridino or the like, R7 is the group of formula IV or the like and R8 is H, CH3, Cl or NO2], pyrylium dye and an electrically insulating polymer. Layers 12, 14 can receive and maintain charges of different polarities, and composite receptor 1 capable of performing dichromatic copy of black-red-white or the like is manufactured. The composition of layer 14 results in high sensitivity and a superior image.
