Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the inside surface of an over etc. from the contamination by fumes of fats and oils, by flame-spraying on the surface of a metallic base material a mixture of metallic oxide powder of Al, Ti, Zr with metallic oxide powder of Fe, Co, Cr, Mn etc. CONSTITUTION:On the inside surface of iron, steel, stainless steel, or Al of an oven etc. is flame-sprayed a mixture of one or more members selected from the group consisting of oxide powder of Al, Ti, Zr, with a small amount of the powder of transition metals, e,g., Fe, Co, and with oxide powder of Cr, Mn, etc. Coating film formed by this method is porous and absorbs excellently the fumes of fats, oils, and water produced during cooking, preventing contamination due to fats and oils. The coating film shows no decrease in absorption of fats, oils, and water, and is excellent in wear resistance and in peel resistance.
