Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the title low m.p. glass compsn. esp. suitable for sealing the panel and funnel of a color TV cathode-ray tube which compsn. consists of low m.p. glass powder finishing sealing in a crystallization state through low temp. heat treatment and of low expansion refractory filler powder.
CONSTITUTION: A sealing glass compsn. is provided consisting of low m.p. crystalline glass powder obtd. by adding F and MgO to PbO-B2O3-ZnO-SiO2 type glass with a specified compsn. range and of low expansion ceramic filler powder. This compsn. consists of low m.p. crystalline glass powder composed of, by wt., PbO 77.0W83.0%, B2O3 7.0W11.0%, ZnO 7.0W12.0%, SiO2 1.0W3.0%, F 0.1W1.0%, MgO 0.1W0.7%, Al2O3 0W0.5% and BaO 0W1.5%, and of one or more kinds of low expansion refractory filler powder such as cordierite 2.0W15% and β-eucryptite 2.0W15%. This compsn. can be used in a crystallization state in the above-mentioned sealing by heat treatment at below 420°C.
