Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a color ceramic and color frit composition for automobile glass plate having less decrease of the strength than the conventional products and consisting of a glass powder composed of a heat-resistant color pigment and SiO2 as specific components and specific proportions of a glass powder, Zr, and a low- expansible fire-proof filler and the like.
CONSTITUTION: The color ceramic and color frit composition for automobile glass plate consists of a low-melting glass powder containing 10W40wt% SiO2, 1W 15wt% Al2O3, 3W51wt% ZnO, 10W35wt% B2O3, 1W20wt% Na2O+K2O+Li2O, 0.5W35wt% MgO+CaO+BaO, 0W5wt% TiO2+SnO2, and 0W2wt% F, a well- known heat-resistant color pigment powder, e.g., MnO2, etc., and a low-expansible fire-proof filler powder composed of at least one of Zn and Al2O3, 75W99pts.wt. a glass powder, and 25W1pts.wt. a filler powder. The composition has a high mechanical strength after being baked and is almost free of the lowering of strength of glass. Thus, the composition is most suitable for the window panes of automobile, etc.
