Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide title glass having a specified spectral properties and improved water resistance by using specific composition contg. P2O5, Al2O3, BaO, SO3, CuO, and each one or more selected from the group consisting of Na2O, K2O, and Li2O, and the group consisting of ZnO, MgO, and CaO.
CONSTITUTION: A near infrared-screening filter glass contains, in wt%, P2O5:50W 85%, Al2O3: 2W14%, BaO: 2W35%, SO3: 0.2W1.0%, CuO as coloring agent: 0.5W8%; Na2O: 0W5%, K2O: 0W5% and Li2O: 0W5%, whereby Na2O+K2O+ Li2O=2W10%; ZnO2: 0W5%, MgO: 1W8%, and CaO: 0W5%, whereby ZnO+ MgO+CaO=3W15%; and, further, B2O3: 0W3%, TiO2: 0W3%, and ZrO2: 0W 5%. This glass efficiently transmits visible light in the range of 400W600nm and screens 600W700nm of a visible range including near infrared range.
