Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an enamel glaze capable of increasing the strength of glass layer, by adding an enamel slip agent and mica to a glass composition containing P2O5, Li2O, CaO, Al2O3, and B2O3.
CONSTITUTION: To a glass composition, in which 95mol% of the total excluding water consists of 2≤P2O5≤20(mol%), 0≤SiO2≤25(mol%), 12≤R2O≤24(mol%), 6≤RO≤25, and CaO≥8(mol%), 14≤Al2O3≤25(mol%), 10≤B2O3≤65(mol%) (R2O is Li2O, Li2O+Na2O; RO is CaO, CaO+MgO, CaO+ZnO, CaO+ZnO+ MgO), a proper amount of an enamel slip agent and 5W20pts.wt. of mica per 100 pts.wt. of the glass composition is added. The slip agent used includes clay, alumina sol, and sodium silicate.
