Abstract
PURPOSE:To ensure the assured working of the load as well as realize the confirmation of the state under which the output of the transistor is supplied to the load, by securing the connection via the serial circuit of the resistance and the capacitor among the collector of the transistor, the cathode of LED and the load each. CONSTITUTION:When transistor TR is off, the voltage is supplied to the load from power source P via resistance r1, capacitor Con and resistance r2 each. As a result, capacitor Con is charged with the time constant of Cx(R1+R2), where C shows the capacitor of Con and R1 and R2 shown the resistance value of resistances r1 and r2 respectively. Now if TR is turned on, the charge stored in Con is discharged with the time constant of CxR2 and via TR, LED and resistance r2 each. Thus the LED glows. In case Con has a conduction fault, the charge/discharge of Con is discontinued. Thus the LED is kept off to secure the fail-safe performance of the circuit. As a result, the assured working is ensured for the load although the DTL or TTL may be connected to the load, at the same time realizing the confirmation of the state under which the output of the TR is supplied to the load.
