Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce a slag amount to a large extent by a method wherein a quantity and a quality of fine particle portion with a particle size of below 1mm contained in a sintering compounded stock material is controlled and the rapid melt formation is promoted to reduce an SiO2 content to 5.4wt% or less.
CONSTITUTION: In preparing the sintered ore, the SiO2 quantity contained in the compounded stock material is reduced to 5.4% or less as a value in terms of the SiO2amount of the sintered ore and the fine particle portion with the particle size of 1mm or less is controlled so as to be included in above 25wt%. Moreover, a quantity calculated by taking an Al2O3 amount from the SiO2 amount contained in the said fine particle portion is regulated to 1.8wt% or more to the total compounded stock material and CaO/(SiO2-Al2O3) wt. ratio of the fine particle portion is regulated to 2.0 or less. By regulating a quantity of the fine particle portion below 1mm in the sintering stock material, especially, SiO2, CaO, Al2O3 quantity, the rapid melt formationis promoted and SiO2 content within a sintered ore can be reduced.
