Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce a maintenance expense by effectively utilizing thermal energy, by a mechanism wherein a subject device is provided with a drying device, an incinerator and a melting device, and an exhaust gas piping of the incinerator is connected to the drying device, whose exhaust line, in turn, is connected to the said exhaust gas piping and incinerator.
CONSTITUTION: Dehydrated sludge is charged into a drying device 1 through a charging pot 2, and is dried with high temperature gas supplied through an air feed pipe 4. After sludge dried thereat is supplied through a discharge port 3 for being temperarily stored in a storage hopper 6, a given amount of them cut down by means of a transferring means is charged into an incinerator 12. Heated air is fed to the incinerator 12 from a main air feed line 30, and heated medium sands disjoins the sludge and also burns an organic matter included in the sludge. Burned ashes are fed to a cyclon 15 togetherwith exhaust gas, and exhaust gas and burned ashes seperated from each other thereat are fed to a line 16 and a hopper 17, respectively. The burned ashes are then treated by melting at an enclosure type melting furnace 33 connected with a digestive gas holder 35.
