Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the high degree of vacuum only by using a liquid sealing type vacuum pump, and to improve the regenerating effect of a solid adsorbent, by a mechanism wherein an air ejector is installed to an exhaust duct from adsorbing towers in the separator for gas components employing the solid adsorbent.
CONSTITUTION: When removing moisture and CO2 from gas containing these components, gas not treated is introduced from a duct 2, and alternately induced to adsorbing towers 4, 5, into which a solid adsorbent such as activated alumina, silica gel, etc. is filled, by changing over a direction change-over valve 6. Clarified gas after the moisture and the CO2 are adsorbed and removed is admitted to an annealing furnace, etc. from a duct 3. The moisture, the CO2, etc. adsorbed to the adsorbent in another adsorbing tower are detached from the adsorbent by sucking action by means of a vacuum pump 25 and the adsorbent is regenerated. In this case, an air ejector 21 is installed in parallel with a duct 30 of the vacuum pump 25, the degree of vacuum of the adsorbing tower, whose adsorbent is being regenerated, is increased by the exhaust action of the air ejector by opening and closing switching valves 29, 31, and the removing action of components adsorbed is improved.
