Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve adsorbing efficiency and desorbing efficiency by a method wherein only cooling is carried out in an adsorbing tower as well as only heating is carried out in a regenerating tower.
CONSTITUTION: Wet air is flowed into an adsorbing tower 1a from a conduit 7 through a piston valve 8a and, after contacted with a cooling plate 4a to be dehumidified in good efficiency, heat exchanged with residual heat of a heating plate 5a to be taken out as super-dried air through a conduit 10. On the other hand, the part of this super-dried air is flowed into the top part of a regenerating tower 1b to be contacted with a heating plate 5b as well as moisture contained in an adsorbent 2b is released by the heating plate 5b and the super-dried air having internal pressure is rapidly passed therethrough by rapid pressure reducion due to the opening of a piston valve 13b to desorb moisture of the adsorbent 2b in good efficiency to regenerate the same as well as to remove residual cold of a cooling plate 4b by heat exchange and discharged to the outside from a conduit 14. After appropriate time, the adsorbing tower 1a and the regenerated tower 1b are switched and the above described similar action is carried out.
