Abstract

PURPOSE: To carry out the adsorption of sulfur dioxide by a small amount of an adsorbent in good efficiency by a method wherein plural hopper parts are formed to the bottom part of a tower main body and the discharge amount of the adsorbent reached to each hopper part is adjusted.
CONSTITUTION: To the bottom part of a tower main body 1, plural hopper parts 6aW6d are formed and, to adsorbent discharge pipe passages of each hopper parts, flow control valves 7aW7d are respectively attached. The adsorbent is descended while a moving layer is formed but, because the adhesion degree of dust and the adsorption degree of sulfur are high toward a part in the vicinity of the inflow side of an exhaust gas G, the opening degree of the valve 7a is made larger and the opening degree of other valves is made small in the order of 7bW7d. By this structure, the adsorption of sulfur oxide can be carried out well in a reduced moving amount of the adsorbent.
