Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the lowering of the performance of a desulfurizing agent caused by the heating and desorption by adsorbing to a desulfurizing agent in a dry type desulfurizer for the waste gas from a boiler NH3 which is discharged out of a denitrator disposed nearer to the boiler side than the desulfurizer.
CONSTITUTION: The waste gas of a coal-firing boiler 1 is introduced into an electric dust collector 2, or directly into a denitrator 3, further passed through an air preheater 4 and a desulfurizer 5 for celaning, and then dischaged from a stack 6. In this case, the amount of NH3 to be injected through a conduit 7 for reducing NOx by a catalyst is increased to the ratio of NH3/NO=1.5W1.8mol. Unreacted NH3 being discharged out of the denitrator 3 is adsorbed to the desulfurizing agent in the adsorption tower of the desulfurizer 5, where it is desorbed in he form of N2. Thus, the deterioration of the performance of the desulfurizing agent can be greatly prvented and at the same time touble with the outflow of unreacted NH3 can be eliminated.
