Abstract
PURPOSE: Continuous harmful adsorption and desorption device is made compact and inexpensively installed by employing two or more of adsorbing chambers containing specific adsorber, and sliding plates having specifically located outlet and inlet for gas.
CONSTITUTION: Harmful gas (a) is passed through the fan 13, inlet 6A of lower slide plate 3, and admitted into adsorbing chamber 1, in which harmful component is adsorbed by active carbon fiber layer 14 filled inside a plurality of cartridges 2, the discharged from outlet 5. Meanwhile, desorption gas such as steam and innert gas (c) is passed through inlet 4A of the slide plate 3, and admitted into desorption chamber 1A to desorb harmful gas in the adsorption cartridges 2, then discharged from outlet 7A to be recovered or burnt. The chambers 1, 1A are radially devided, and the inlet 6A and outlet 7A are provided to the upper and lower slide plates 3 at locations opposite to the center axis 11. Thus, rotating the axis 11 enables continuous adsorption and desorption. The use of carbon fiber excellent in the ability of adsorption and desorption contributes to compact device and low cost installation.
