Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent insulation breakage of corner section of a rectangular-shape electromagnetic coil and form the electromagnetic coil into a given shape by turning an original coil, cylindrically coiled wire consisting of self-brazing type electric wire, into a required shape by using pressing and heating processes.
CONSTITUTION: A self-brazing type coiled wire is cylindrically wound to form a cylindrical coil 5, and thus formed coil 5 is turned into a rectangular-shape electromagnetic coil 9 by applying pressure on it using internal forming jigs 8 and 8'. And then, it is sent into a drying furnace to be heated so that it can be formed into a solid body of a required shape. As the original coil is formed into a cylindrical shape, it is possible to prevent an insulation film of a corner section from being damaged. It is also possible to pass the coil, prior to being wound, in a solvent tank 10 to allow solvent 17 to adhere onto the coil so that it can be wound while undergoing thermal hardening. By employing this method, it is possible to prevent insulation breakage of corner section of a rectangular electromagnetic coil and, at the same time, to form it into any given shape.
