Abstract

PURPOSE: To stabilize the quality of an insulated coil, by providing coil conductors with insulation resin layers not yet hardened, placing upper and lower angle-grooved jigs in contact with the tops, bottoms and sides of the resin-coated coil conductors, and shaping and hardening the resin layers on the conductors under pressure and heat.
CONSTITUTION: Upper coil conductors 1a∼1c and lower coil conductors 2a∼2c are provided with insulating resin layers 3a∼3c, 4a∼4c not yet hardened. Upper and lower angle-grooved jigs 7a, 7b are placed on the tops, bottoms and sides of the insulating resin layers so that the upper and lower jigs face each other. Press shafts 12a, 12b are actuated while heating steams are supplied through the holes 7c, 7d of the jigs 7a, 7b. At that time, prescribed pressure is applied to upper and lower coil portions simultaneously, the portions are heated and the insulating resin layers are shaped and hardened. This results in stabilizing the quality of a tortoiseshell coil by simple equipment.
