Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate checking of quality of respective parts, and prevent peeling of enamel layers by coating slip for enamel coating on the respective constituting parts prior to tank assembly, binding the respective parts then firing these.
CONSTITUTION: Slip for enamel coating is applied on the outside circumferential surface 2b of an inside cylinder 2 constituting a tank 1 except weld surfaces 26, 27 at the top and bottom ends, after which it is dried. Similarly, the slip is applied on the inside circumferential surface 3a of an outside cylinder 3 and the outside circumferential surface 10a of a burner mounting pipe 10 except their respective weld parts. After drying of the slip, the cylinder 2, the cylinder 3 and the pipe 10 are assembled, and joined by welding. The entire body of this tank 1 is heated to high temps. to fire the slip, whereby enamel layers 23 are formed. By this method, the uniformity of the film thicknesses and the goodness of the appearance of the enamel layers 24 formed on the respective parts are checked. Hence, the quality control in the production of the tank 1 is easy.
