Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the thermal impact resistnace and corrosion resistance of the Al-pack-treated layer by beforehand applying Ni-covering treatment and Cr-coating treatment then performing the Al pack treatment.
CONSTITUTION: Prior to applying of Al coating on heat-resistant alloy through Al pack treatment, a Ni-covering layer is beforehand formed on the heat-resistant alloy surface through pretreatment, thence Cr-coating treatment is done, after which Al- coating treatment is applied. In the case of applying the abovementioned treatment, making the thickness of the Ni-covering layer 10μ or more is preferable and making the thickness of the Cr-coating layer following to this 20μ or more is preferable. In the case of performing the Ni-covering treatment, preferably Ni powder is coated on the surface of the heat-resistant alloy by using a suitable binder and if necessary, a Ni foil is further placed thereon and this heated to a high temperature to be baked onto the surface. The Cr coating is accomplished preferably by a CVD method.
