Abstract

PURPOSE:To enchance the thermal impact and corrosion resistances of an Al diffusion coated layer by coating an Ni-Cr alloy having a specified composition prior to Al diffusion coating. CONSTITUTION:An Ni-Cr alloy coat consisting of 20-50, especially 20-45wt% Cr and the balance Ni is formed on the surface of a heat resistant alloy by sputtering, and then Al diffusion coating is carried out by a pack method. A Cr coat may be formed prior to the Ni-Cr alloy coating. Since the Ni-Cr alloy layer exists just under the Al diffusion coated layer, the thermal impact and corrosion resistances of the Al diffusion coated layer are enhanced.
