Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the corrosion resistance of a Pt pulse Al layer formed on an alloy surface, by coating a heat resistant alloy surface with Pt and then with Al followed by diffusion treatment. CONSTITUTION:A heat resistant alloy surface is coated with Pt by electro- plating, and then with Al by pack treatment or the like. The high temperature diffusion treatment is applied to allow the PtAl2 dispersed in a grain form adjacent to the coated layer surface to disappear as a solid solution. By this treatment, a heat resistant alloy member can be obtained which is improved in the corrosion resistance at high temperatures under an acidic burning gas atmosphere.
