Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a coating alloy for a superalloy with superior resistances to corrosion, oxidation, thermal impact and mechanical impact by adding a specified amount of Al, Cr, B and a rare earth element to Ni or Co. CONSTITUTION:Since a blade and a nozzle of a gas turbine made of Ni or Co superalloy are used in an atmosphere of hot combustion gas with high corrosiveness, to enhance the resistances to corrosion, oxidation, etc. in the environment they are coated with a coating alloy having the following composition by sputtering or other method. The composition consists of, by wt., 5-45% Al, 10-40% Cr, 0.01-1% rare earth element such as Y in the form of a simple substance or a mixture, 0.005- 0.8% B and the balance Ni or Co.
