Abstract

PURPOSE: To raise mechanical strength of thin conductor winding by the procedure in which an adhesive layer is formed on any one of thin conductor and insulating sheet, and then the conductor and sheet are wound by an alternate superposition and cured by heating.
CONSTITUTION: When winding the thin conductor 1 and the insulating sheet 2 while superposing them alternately, an adhesive layer is formed on the surface of the insulating sheet 2 by the passing it through an adhesive varnish on the way of winding process, and the insulating sheet 2 is wound while superposing it on the thin conductor 1 onto the circumference of the coil former 5 in order to form the winding 6. Afterwards, the winding 6 is heated for melting and curing the varnish of the adhesive layer to obtain the winding of a high mechanical strength. This method enables one to obtain a high mechanical strength of the thin conductor winding in which between conductors are strongly adhered to each other which is more effectively applicable to large size transformer than the former.
