Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the recording density with less space between the nozzles by integrating the electrode plates having adjacent deflection electrodes possite to each other on both sides of the dielectric plate in such a manner that the creeping distance is longer than the straight distance between the two electrodes. CONSTITUTION:A dielectric plate 26 is composed of a plastic film or a thin plate like the acrylic plate. A negative electrode plate 22b and a positive electrode plate 23a are integral mounted on both sides of the dielectric plate being coated with copper, silver or other conductive metal by evaporation or other method in such a manner that the creeping distance is larger than the straight distance between the electrodes, so to speak leaving the periphery of the dielectric plate 26. With such an arrangement, application of high voltage causes no dielectric breakdown despite an extremely small space between the electrodes. Accordingly, the recording density can be improved with a lessened space of the nozzles.
