Abstract

PURPOSE:To attempt the enhancement of a resolving power by forming a multi- stylus head recording electrode into a narrow paper form, arranging it in a line in the line direction, and constituting a single picture element by laminating n pieces of paper in the column direction. CONSTITUTION:Recording electrode 13 is formed into a narrow paper form, 0.07mm in length and 0.01 mm in width, which is nearly equal to the width Po of on picture element. Control electrodes of 4.5 mm square are disposed at either side of the recording electrode 13. The thus constituted multistylus head 15 is used to obtain patterns of gradation from 1 to 10. Such recording is done by selecting each recording electrode 13 at every transport of recording medium in the column direction of Po/n and by applying the recording voltage. The size of a picture element recorded by the device thus constituted is 0.1x0.1 mm, and it can show 10-gradation with the resolving power of 10/mm. Thus, the resolving power can be exceedingly enhanced.
