Abstract
PURPOSE:To cause a deflected deformation only by applying a voltage by forming an facing comb-like electrode as a voltage applying electrode on one side of a piezoelectric ceramic plate. CONSTITUTION:Facing comb-like electrodes 3a, 3b are formed on the surface of a piezoelectric ceramic plate 2. When a voltage is applied between the electrodes 3a and 3b, polar electrodes are generated therein, the surface layer of the plate 2 is elongated by a piezoelectric longitudinal effect, and the surface layer of an reverse side is of insensitive part, and a protruding deflected deformation of the electrodes 3a, 3b takes place. When a voltage of reverse polarity to that at the time of generating a polarization is applied, the surface layer of the plate 2 between the electrode 3a and 3b is shrinked by the same piezoelectric longitudinal effect, and the surface layer of reverse side is also of insensitive part, and the electrodes 3a, 3b are hence deflected concavely. Thus, a deflected deformation occurs.
