Abstract

1471579 Selective printing SIEMENS AG 15 July 1974 [30 July 1973] 31204/74 Heading B6F Electrostatic printer has at least one selectively energizable electrode EL located in insulating block SK, charged toner particles are applied via nozzle DU adjacent the electrodes EL which when energized attract the particles to the paper P. The paper may pass over a conducting base LU or have a conductive metal backing layer surplus toner is removed by suction device AS. The toner may be carried by an insulating fluid and the paper treated to prevent absorption of this fluid.
