Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the adjacent charging electrodes from interfering with each other by a method wherein shield electrodes are provided between the plural charging electrodes which are arranged on a single insulating substrate. CONSTITUTION:The charging electrode plate 10 is made of the insulating material such as glass, which is provided thereon with conductive film patterns for printing signal 10a and with conductive film patterns for shielding 10b alternately. Grooves 10a' for passage of ink droplets are cut in the tip end prts of the conductive film patterns for printing signal 10a, while holes 10b' corresponding in position to the grooves 10a' are bored in the conductive film patterns 10b, and the inside surfaces of the grooves 10a' and the holes 10b' are metallized by through-hole plating. Accordingly, each of the charging electrode parts 10a' is electrostatically shielded by the shielding electrode parts 10b'.
