Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the structure and eliminate leakage of oil, by securing an oil filter and oil cooler to the engine block by use of a fixing means consisting of a single fixing bracket, and forming lubricating-oil passages in the bracket. CONSTITUTION:Fixing bracket 1 is secured to engine block 4 at its mounting portion 7, and oil cooler 2 and oil filter 3 are fixed at other mounting portions 5, 6 respectively. In the bracket 1, there are formed the first passage 10 for carrying lubricating oil from engine block 4 via inlet port 8 to oil filter 3, and the second passage 13 for carrying lubricating oil from the filter 3 to oil cooler 2. Further, there is provided the third passage 15 for returning lubricating oil from oil cooler 2 to engine block 4, and the third passage 15 and annular inlet chamber 12 in the second passage 13 are communicated with each other by a by-pass passage 18 having check valve 17.
