1439866 Oil filters LUCAS FILTRI SpA 3 Aug 1973 [30 Aug 1972] 36887/73 Heading BID An oil filter for a motor engine comprises a plurality of inlet ports 4 surrounding an outlet port 5 which is provided with a spring loaded valve 14 which only opens when the engine is running. The filter also comprises a spring loaded inlet valve comprising elastomeric sheet 19 and metal sheet 18, and spring loaded bypass valve 8. The outlet valve housing 10 is provided with guards 17 and fins 15 for respectively preventing the obstruction of port 5 by valve 8 if it should become detached, and valve 14.
