Abstract

PURPOSE:To evaporate liquefied gas, by spraying the liquefied gas in an evaporation chamber and bringing the sprayed liquefied gas into contact with heating gas supplied from a heat exchanger to evaporate a part of the lquefied gas and further heating the heated liquefied gas by heat exchange through a thermosiphon-type circuit between the heat exchanger and the evaporation chamber. CONSTITUTION:The low temperature liquefied gas is introduced into a drum 1 through an inlet port A and then sprayed down in the drum by a spray nozzle 3. The fine drops of the liquefied gas come into contact with gas, which is produced by the heat exchanger 2 and rises in the drum. At that time, the drops of the liquefied gas are heated and partially evaporated by the gas, a small part of which is condensed and the other part of which is released through an outlet port B. The heated drops of the liquefied gas are received by a tray 6 and flow down from the edge of the tray 6 into the lower part of the drum 1. Then the liquiefied gas is conducted by a thermosiphon phenomenon from the lower part of the drum into the heat exchanger 2 through a pipe 4 so that a part of the liquefied gas is evarporated and returned into the drum 1.
