Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the heat exchanging efficiency in the heat exchanging between airs having a relative enthalpy difference by means of an intermediate heating medium by decreasing the temperature of the air having a lower enthalpy to the dew point by moistening the same.
CONSTITUTION: The low enthalpy air taken in from an air inlet 14 of the heat exchanger 2 for heat exchanging between the high enthalpy air is moistened by the spray of water from a moistening device to be in a saturated state. The water sprayed is pooled in a drain tank 10 and used again for spraying. Therefore, the temperature of the water is substantially as high as that of the air. Accordingly, the air condition is varied from an initial state A to the second state B near the saturation line. Next, the air passes through a heat exchanging body 8 vaporizing the moisture contained therein to reach the third state C. Further, the air passes through another moistening device 11 and another heat exchanging body 9 on the second stage to reach the fourth state D. Then, the air flows out of an air outlet 16 into a high enthalpy air zone H. The heating medium cooled by the heat exchanging bodies 8 and 9 is sent to another pair of heat exchanging bodies 3 and 4, where it cools the high enthalpy air.
