Abstract

PURPOSE: To cool down a high-temperature dry air effectively by a method wherein the high-temperature dry air is used for cooling a circulating water on one hand and also as a mater to cool on the other hand, and the water and the air are contacted directly to vaporization of the water.
CONSTITUTION: A casing 1 of an air cooling device is divided into two chambers, a sprinkler 6 is provided in one chamber 3 and a circulating water in a tank 16 in the other chamber 4 is introduced to sprinkling. The air introduced from an air inlet 7 and the circulating water are contacted each other in a filler 11 to heat exchange. The circulating water is cooled down by the air and scattered into the other chamber 4. The air introduced in the chamber 4 is cooled down directly by the circulating water. The cooled air is fed to a matter to cool through an eliminator 15.
