Abstract
PURPOSE: Liquid containing material chemically transformable or modified into precipitate by heating is directly contacted with heated gas to separate precipitate and evaporated by heating, thereby to excercise an efficient evaporation without scale deposition on the heat transmitting zone.
CONSTITUTION: Liquid to be treated is guided into the direct contact heater A and contacted with high temperature gas 3 so that the liquid 1 is heated to separate out precipitate. The gas 2 is decreased in temperature by delivering heat, indirectly heating medium 4 in the heater B and recirculated. The liquid 1 separated from precipitate is passed through the first evoporator C, the evaporators D, E, and concentrate 11 is discharged from the system. Evaporated steam 12 is indirectly cooled by cooling medium 13 in the condenser F and discharged as condensed water 14. Non-condensed gas 15 is sucked by the vacuum device G.
