Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve production capability of fresh water and reduce the cost, by emitting bubbles continuously into sea water to be evaporated to promote evaporation in the low-temperature region.
CONSTITUTION: Sea water A and sea water B are filled properly in evaporation tank 1 and cooling tank 5 respectively; and when air pump 2 is operated to emit preheated air into sea water A as bubbles (a) continuously, sea water A is heated to raise the temperature, and evaporation of sea water A is promoted. Evaporated vapor is condensed on the bottom face of cooling plate 4 as shown in (b) and is dropped to receiving trough 8 and is stored in fresh water tank 7 as fresh water C through conduit 6. Since sea water B in cooling tank 5 receives condensation heat of vapor to raise the temperature, heat loss is reduced by supplying it to evaporation tank 1 successively. As a result, production capability of fresh water can be improved considerably, and low-cost fresh water can be obtained.
