Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of infrared ray efficiency and form an infrared ray detector of high sensitivity and good response speed characteristics by setting the thicknesses of the vapor deposition electrodes provided on the front and back of a pyroelectric element. CONSTITUTION:There are the relations shown in the formula among incidence, absorption, reflection and transmission energies (respectively Ilambda, alambda, rlambda, dlambda) at wavelength lambda for the detecting part and the absorption, reflection and transmission energies for vapor deposition film thicknesses are expressed like, e.g., the figure.
