Abstract
PURPOSE:To form an infrared ray detector of less floating capacity on the gate side without the need for bonding process by alternately orthogonally providing the fetch parts of the electrodes formed on the front and back of a pyroelectric element thin film. CONSTITUTION:A circular electrode 43 and fetch leads 44 are evaporated on the front side of a pyroelectric element thin film 41 (Fig. b) and a circular electrode 43' overlapping the abovementioned circular electrode 43 and fetch leads 44' orthogonal to the fetch leads 44 are evaporated on the back side (Fig. c), thence a photo detecting sensitive part 42 is formed on the pyroelectric element thin film 41 to provide the photo detecting part of the infrared ray detector (Fig. d). Since the fetch leads from the electrodes are orthogonally set in this way, the floating capacity between the leads may be considerably reduced and yet it becomes possible to fetch the output of the detector with ease by using assembling mechanism.
