Abstract

PURPOSE: To continually control seal steam at optimal temperature throughout all operation conditions, by diverging gland steam before a condenser of a steam turbine and by joining one side after one side is passed through a water chamber in the condenser.
CONSTITUTION: Gland steam passing through a gland piping 16 is diverged into branch pipings 16a, 16b before a condenser 11. Steam passing through the piping 16a passes through a flow rate adjusting valve 17, is heat exchanged with condensation in the condenser 11, is temperature reduced, is passed through a piping 16c, joins with steam with high temperature passing through the piping 16c, is changed into seal steam with optimal temperature and is fed to steam feed portion of a low pressure steam packing 5. The supply temperature of seal steam to the steam packing 5 is continually detected by means of a thermocouple 21, a detecting temperature signal is input to a controller 22, the valve opening of the flow rate adjusting valve 17 is operated and the supply temperature of seal steam is controlled.
