Abstract

PURPOSE: To know accurately the capacity of a plant by monitoring directly the amount of leak steam after caluculating the volume of leak steam from a high pressure side turbine through actual measurement of the pressure and temperature.
CONSTITUTION: In a steam turbine which consists of a high pressure turbine 3, a medium pressure turbine 4 and low pressure turbines 5 and 6, the volume of steam exhansted from a bleeder pipe 10 on the high pressure exhaust side and a bleeder pipe 11 on the medium pressure side constitutes direct loss. At a downstream point A from the confluence of the bleeder pipes 10 and 11 is installed an orifice 21 in a pipe 17 with a differential pressure detector 22 to detect the pressure difference across the orifice. The output of these detectors is transferred through an I/O processor 25 to an arithmetic unit 26 where a stream flow rate is calculated. The caluculation results by the arithmetic unit 26 is transferred to a central processing unit 27 where the above steam is treated as leak loss.
