Abstract

CONSTITUTION: When any leakage occurs at the seat of a valve the outlet pressure on the valve 4 rises instantaneously and as a result the difference between the inlet pressure and the outlet one is smaller than that at normal conditions. The greater the leakage on the valve 4 is, the smaller the difference between the inlet pressure and the outlet one on this valve is. This difference pressure on the valve is detected by a differential pressure gauge 17 through a pressure detecting hole 11, a condenser 12, a detecting piping 13. If an flowing out steam flow is checked at steam flow through a piping 5 is measured by an elbow flow meter fitted on an outlet piping 5 and the safety valve acts, the performance of the safety valve 4 can be confirmed.
